# Translate images


> Translate text in one product image with the Image Translation tool.

Use **Image Translation** to translate the text inside one or more product images while keeping the same layout and look. This is a standalone tool, not a workflow or task step.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

Open **Image Translate** from **Tools**. Have either an image file or a public image URL ready. Uploads accept JPG, PNG, and WEBP files.

## Steps [#steps]

1. Select **Translate Image**.
2. Choose **Upload** to select or drag image files, or choose **Paste URL** and enter a **Public image URL**.
3. Under **Target language**, select the language for the image text.
4. Select **Translate**. When you upload several files, CopyHero starts one run for each image.
5. Review the before-and-after result in **Run details** or open a recent run.
6. When the run is ready, select **Download translated image** or **Download**.

## Expected result [#expected-result]

The tool shows the translated result alongside the source image. Completed runs remain in **Recent runs** so you can review, re-translate into another language, or download the output.

## If something goes wrong [#if-something-goes-wrong]

If the tool is unavailable, the tools catalog has no enabled image-translation tool. Check file type, the public URL, and target-language selection before retrying. A failed run displays its error in the result view.
