# Products versus the Product Library


> Choose Products for a store-focused catalog view or the Product Library for store-independent organization.

Use **Products** to work in a Shopify destination context, and use **Product Library** to own and organize catalog data before publishing it.

## Choose the right place [#choose-the-right-place]

* **Products**: filter by a destination store, import with **Import to Shopify**, refresh that store’s state, and work with store-linked products.
* **Product Library**: import with **Import to Library**, organize products into folders, and work without a store filter.

## Move products toward a store [#move-products-toward-a-store]

1. In **Product Library**, select one or more products.
2. Select **Import to Shopify**.
3. Choose a destination store and complete the import flow.

The selected library products must share a destination store for **Start Workflow** to be available. Importing into the Product Library does not push anything to Shopify.
