# Build a workflow


> Combine reusable tasks into an ordered workflow.

Build a workflow when you want the same task sequence to run on more than one product.

## Before you begin [#before-you-begin]

Create the tasks you need first. A workflow must include at least one valid task.

## Build the workflow [#build-the-workflow]

1. Open **Workflows** and select **New Workflow**.
2. On **General**, enter a required **Name** and an optional **Description**.
3. Open **Workflow Builder**.
4. Add task blueprints from the task panel. On smaller screens, use **Add Task**.
5. Drag the selected steps into the order you want.
6. Select **Create Workflow**.

## Expected result [#expected-result]

The workflow appears in **Workflows** and is available in the **Start Workflow** dialog.

## Errors and limits [#errors-and-limits]

The workflow cannot be saved without a name and at least one task. If a selected task has been deleted or is no longer valid, remove it and add a valid task again before saving. Reordering changes the order for future runs only.
