Create a metafield set

Create a metafield set when the same fields should be generated or supplied for many products.

Open Metafield Sets and have the namespace, key, and type required by Shopify.

1. Select New set.
2. Name the set and add its metafield entries.
3. Configure each entry's prompt or value behavior and on-error handling.
4. Save the set.

Create the definitions in ShopifyCopy Anchor Link

To make a saved set's metafields available to your store and to feed apps such as Simprosys, create their definitions in Shopify from CopyHero:

1. Open the set from the Metafield Sets list.
2. Under Create in Shopify, pick the store.
3. Select Create in Shopify.

CopyHero creates one Shopify metafield definition for every saved entry, on the product or on each variant according to the entry's scope. It uses the saved entries, so save your changes first. The result list shows one row per entry:

• Created: the definition is new.
• Exists: Shopify already has a definition with the same namespace, key, and type.
• Type mismatch: Shopify already has a definition with a different type. CopyHero does not change it. Change the entry's type to the one Shopify shows, or change the definition in Shopify.
• Failed: Shopify rejected the definition and the row shows its reason.

CopyHero never changes or deletes an existing definition. After the definitions exist, map the metafields to the Google attributes in your feed app.

Use a separate set for a distinct catalog or store requirement. Edit or delete sets from the Metafield Sets list.

Correct invalid field details or values, then save again. Do not delete a set that is still needed by an active configuration.
