Metafield Templates are system-provided starting points. Clone one before changing entries, prompts, or error behavior.

Prerequisites

Open Metafield Templates.

Steps

Review a template's fields.
Choose its clone action.
Open the copied set in Metafield Sets.
Adjust it for your Shopify definitions and save.

Expected result

You have an editable metafield set based on the selected template.

If something goes wrong

If a template cannot be loaded, refresh and try again. Confirm cloned entries against your store before using them in an import.
