Product fields for Custom tasks

A Custom task uses the input fields you select to form its prompt context, then writes its result to the Output Field you select.

Choose fields

1. Create or edit a Custom task.
2. On General, select only the input fields the prompt needs.
3. Select the Output Field where the task should save its result.
4. In Prompt, refer to the information you selected in plain, specific instructions.
5. Save with Create Task or Save Changes.

Expected result

The task carries the selected product data into the prompt and saves output to the chosen field when it runs.

Errors and limits

At least one input and one output are required. Do not use an output field that a later step expects to contain the original value unless replacement is intentional. Extra is optional context, not a substitute for selecting the core fields your prompt needs.
