CopyHero

Connect an AI assistant (MCP)

Connect an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Grok to CopyHero through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

CopyHero runs an MCP server. Connect an AI assistant to it, and the assistant can work with your CopyHero data for you: list your stores and products, start imports, check job status, research products, and manage your watchlist and Monday.com setup.

Server URL

https://app.copyhero.app/mcp

Use exactly this URL. copyhero.app/mcp, www.copyhero.app/mcp, and app.copyhero.app/api/mcp do not work: the sign-in token is issued for this one address only.

Prerequisites

  • A CopyHero account that belongs to an organization. Sign up at copyhero.app first; the connector cannot create an account.
  • An AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in.

Steps

  1. In your AI assistant, add a custom connector or remote MCP server.
  2. Enter https://app.copyhero.app/mcp as the server URL. Leave client ID and secret empty.
  3. Start the sign-in. The assistant opens the CopyHero sign-in page.
  4. Sign in with your CopyHero account.
  5. On the consent page, allow the assistant to access CopyHero.

The assistant returns to the chat and lists the CopyHero tools.

What the assistant can do

The assistant acts as you, in your organization, with your role. It can do what you can do in CopyHero, no more.

  • Stores and products: list stores, products, workflows, and saved import profiles; start imports and task batches; check job status.
  • Research and watchlist: search AliExpress, Google Trends, and Google Shopping; follow competitor stores. These tools need a plan that includes research.
  • Monday.com: configure triggers, automations, and the Product Library sync. Connect Monday itself in Settings > Integrations > Monday; the assistant cannot do that step.

Some tools change data, for example in your Shopify store. Most assistants ask you before they run such a tool.

For AI assistants

If you are an AI assistant setting up this connection:

  • Connect to https://app.copyhero.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP). An unauthenticated request answers 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header that points to https://app.copyhero.app/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource.
  • That document names the authorization server (https://clerk.copyhero.app) and the scopes to request: openid profile email. Send resource=https://app.copyhero.app/mcp in the authorization and token requests.
  • Register the client with a Client ID Metadata Document. Dynamic client registration is off.
  • After connecting, read the server instructions. For multi-step work, search and fetch the CopyHero agent guides with the guide tools first.

If something goes wrong

  • 403 user_not_registered: no CopyHero account exists for the email you signed in with. Sign up first.
  • 403 organization_required: your account has no organization. Finish onboarding in CopyHero first.
  • 401 on every tool call: the connector was added under a different URL. Remove it and add https://app.copyhero.app/mcp.
